Yum! The food was so fresh and unlike anything I’ve personally had before. I loved the smokiness from the oak and I thought the noodles were addicting. Edamame had a lemon zest and little burnt edges…loved it! This location is inside an old church and so pretty inside. Also randomly really loved the quirky wallpaper in the bathrooms lol!

The food at this restaurant is always delicious, but this time the service was 7/10 Parking is limited, but the food is worth finding a parking spot here. They have a beautiful patio with swings to enjoy the nice weather when we get it in Houston. The concept here, as you go to the bar and order your food, you find a table and when the food is ready they bring it to your table. They have a cocktail menu available if you feel like having a drink. Don’t miss they’re happy hour, they have a great deal! Reservations are not needed here, but be aware during the weekend can be very busy. Food never disappoints here!

This place really hit it out of the park! I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this type of fusion cuisine (BBQ + Asian, primarily SE Asian). But both are two of my favorite cuisines and fusing them was next level. They had great smoked pork ribs and a really flavorful crispy brussels. And I had this side called the Rendang Red Beans and Rice. Rendang is kind of like a flavorful curry of sorts that is typically prepared as beef in Indonesia. The rendang flavor combined with the red beans and rice was something I'd never tasted before and just absolutely fantastic. The prices here were great too. Our bill for 2 was $56 for two mains, 2 apps, and a beer.

I've been a fan of Loro for years now. They are a joint venture born from Franklins bbq and Uchi Sushi, focusing on bbq with Asian flavors. They have specials, which may change each season. Sometimes, it'll be ramen. Sometimes, it'll be their take on bossam. They are offered on specific days of the week, and can be mixed with their happy hour specials. The prices are reasonable, but know that you're paying for quality of ingredients. The portion sizes may be smaller than other bbq-adjacent places, but the flavor profiles are there. They do have a weekday special that is available after 4pm. The smokehouse sampler includes brisket, pulled pork, and chicken wings, along with their cole slaw and crispy potatoes. On paper it's a great deal for 25.00. I ordered it for the first time, and although the flavors were great, the brisket was incredibly dry. They included 3 sauces that helped, but it was really hard to get past a Franklin's bbq brisket being this bad, and served to a paying patron. Beautiful place very laid back. Love that they kept the arquitecture of the old church. The food was fell short for me but the cocktails were definitely amazing. They have a good variety of drinks. I got a mocktail which was perfect not too sweet. Will definitely go back for the drinks and maybe try something different next time. The best dish I got was the chopped brisket. The salmon dip was pretty good but the chips were on the greasy side. The pulled pork tostadas were okay.
